Why Auto Care Plus Is Going All In on Apple

The short answer is focus. Auto Care Plus is built exclusively for Apple platforms, and going forward it is going to stay that way on purpose.

Right now the app runs on iOS. iPadOS and macOS are next in line, so the same maintenance history you build on your iPhone will live natively on your iPad and your Mac too. One app, one set of records, every Apple device you own. There are no Android versions planned, and that is a deliberate choice, not a gap I am waiting to fill.

Here’s the thing: I am an indie developer, not a company with a platform team for every operating system. Every hour I spend porting and re testing on a second platform is an hour I am not spending making the app better for the people already using it. Splitting my attention across two ecosystems would mean a worse experience on both. Picking one means I can go deep instead of wide.

Apple is the natural home for what Auto Care Plus already does well. iCloud sync is the backbone of the app, so your records follow you from phone to tablet to desktop with nothing to export or back up by hand. That only works cleanly when everything lives in one ecosystem. The privacy story is the same: your data stays in your own iCloud account, not on a server I run. Building native for Apple lets me lean all the way into both of those instead of chasing the lowest common denominator.

So the roadmap is simple. Make iOS excellent, bring iPadOS and macOS along, and keep your auto’s history reliable for the life of the vehicle, and the next one after that. Fewer platforms, done properly, beats more platforms done halfway.
